VSLogger Setup - System/License Tab

Note: Starting  revisions 4.9.XX System tab was renamed to License with some minor rearrangement.

In this section, you can view important system information,  activate or reactivate license and update  system registration information

How To Activate License

1. Open VSLogger, use the drop-down menu to access Setup(1).
2. Click the ‘System’ tab on the left (2).
3. Fill out the information, and the ‘Activate Program’ button (4).

The application should post a disconnection notice "Connection will be lost " , and restart.

If you see following message in the top-right corner "Operation Failed with message: Automatic activation failed. .."  or similar, it means following.

-  your workstation doesn't have internet connection or something prevents internet access to Versadial License server ( manual activation may required)

- or license was activated, but recording service failed to restart.

To resolve  Open Windows Services.msc  utility and restart  following services:

- Versadial VSLogger Connection service

- Versadial VSLogger  Recording Service

when the services start, open a new browser window, access License tab and try activation again or continue with manual activation.

System  Tab  (not available on  revisions 4.9.X.X and newer)

Contains  following system date (see image above):

• Recorder ID
• Software Version
• Total number of configured and enabled channels 
• License code (including Change License tool command)
• License expiration:
• License status: ACTIVATED, EXPIRED etc
• Number TDM channel licenses (applicable to analog, digital PBX, T1/E1/ISDN  channels)
• Number of VoIP channel  Licenses
• Number of screen license (single or dual screen capture, takes only one license)
• Number of G.729 licenses

Automatic Activation Tab 

Contains:

• User registration information form: Company name, Contact name,  Email, Phone
• Activate button-  pressing this button will automatically activate current software or update activation if, activation details changed (e.g. extra channels or different expiration date is configured.)

Note: Automatic activation requires Internet connection available. It will contact Versadial licensing portal to automatically generate activation code
If automatic activation fails, users should use Manual activation tab, see below

Activation can fail for following reasons:
- internet access is not available
- Versadial  licensing portal is down
- license code entered for this system  is invalid
- system exceeded permitted number of activations (was installed on different PCs already)

Manual Activation Tab 

Contains:

• User registration information form: Company name, Contact name,  Email, Phone
• Activation Input  button - generates a code to be emailed to support@versadial.com to request programs Activation code
• Activation Code input area:  here Administrator puts activation code received from support@versadial.com
• Activate button-  pressing this button will apply received activation code to current system

Registration Only Tab 

Contains:

• User registration information form: Company name, Contact name,  Email, Phone
• Update Registration  -   pressing this button will apply updated registration information to Versadial licensing portal

IMPORTANT:  keep your registration current to receive updates and notifications from the Versadial
