General Admin - Users Tab
This view allows Administrator to add and edit Users and Security Groups to Adutante.
Users and security groups management is essential to information security and access control. Users are provided a username (user ID) and password and given individual and group permissions to application functionality.
Users
Individual user record includes following parameters
- User ID - unique identified used for sign in
- Name - Full Name of the user
- Description - extra details about user (optional)
- Network Signin ID - network, e.g. active directory, user ID (optional). Required for some functionality to work (e.g. call center sign-in via DeskTop Assistant application)
- Enabled - Yes/No - activates or deactivates user record
- Deactivation date - date when user record automatically deactivated
- password - user password (user can change it at any time)
- email - user email address, used for password reset operations
Built in (System ) users
- admin - built in Administrator account
Groups
Groups are an easy way to organize permissions management. Instead of providing user permissions on an individual base, you may provide access to an entire group. Additional permissions to an individual user, can be used to fine tune access control.
You may also add or remove users to a group at any time:
- Click NEW GROUP to create a new defined group.
- To add a user to the group you must first create the individual user.
- Find the user. Under the GROUPS column, click ADD.
- Select the group to be assigned to the user.
To Remove user From A Group:
- Find the specific user
- Under GROUPS column look for the group to be removed
- Click the X to remove the user from the group
Built in (System ) Groups
- Administrators - group members have full access to application functionality
- Call Center Agents - group members included on Call Center Agents lists in related modules (Recorders, VSLogger Monitor, QC , Recorders Administration)
Examples of adding users with special permissions
Create Full administrator
- create or select user account
- add user to Administrators Group
Create Call Center Agent
- create or select user account
- add user to Call Center Agents Group
- Optionally, if fixed seating is used, go to Recorders Administration, Call Center, Call Center Seating and assign Fixed seating to new agent.
Create non-administrator with access to QC module administration
- create or select user account
- In Modules Tab assign this user both, access Permission and Administrative Permission, to QC module
