Purchase or Build a computer with the following requirements:
Storage: Extra drive/partition for recorded data is required in addition to the operating system partition.
Recording data cannot be saved to OS partition (C: drive).
Common configuration (1 TB storage): Watch Video
Chassis/Case Size Recommendation:
If Recording Digital or Analog Lines: Make sure your PC case has enough space and your motherboard has enough PCI or PCIe slots for recording cards (Check with Versadial or Recording Card supplier for the type of recording card, PCI or PCIe). Analog or Digital Card: Dimensions for the full-size card is L 13.83” x H 4.75” and for the half-size card is L 7.5” x H 4.75” inches. Note: VoIP recording does not require a voice card.
If Recording VoIP: If recording VoIP, please ensure the NIC is able to use promiscuous mode (most of them do). If VoIP traffic is on a separate LAN or VLAN, or your switch is not able to both mirror and direct traffic, then an extra NIC is required (see voip site checklist).
Synway Boards (PCI or PCIe options available):
AudioCodes Boards (PCI or PCIe options available):
VoIP: No Boards required.
Versadial call recording software is designed to install in a virtual machine environment, so you can easily provision the proper resources to start recording your calls without building a dedicated PC server.
Supported Virtual Machine Platforms
Versadial will support a variety of VM platforms: VMWare, Citrix Hypervisor (formerly Xenserver), MS Hyper-V Server, ESX-Server, VirtualBox, Oracle VM, and more.
Min. Specifications Of Provisioned Virtual Machine
Operating System: Windows Based OS (10 Professional, or Server 2008 to 2019 R2 (64-bit recommended))
CPU: 1x vCPU
RAM: 4 GB Ram
Storage Space: 500 GB*
Note: CPU/RAM/Storage space is dependent on the number of VoIP/RoIP lines you are recording.
* Call recordings can be auto-archived. Networked hard drives for archiving will extend the storage capabilities without eating up resources on the VM server.

Windows 8 and Newer require enabling an Administrator account.
Windows 8, just like its predecessor Windows 7, ships with an administrator account that is disabled by default. While it is not suggested to enable and use the administrators on a day to day basis, it may have to be used for tasks that require administrative privileges.
