VSLogger SMTP settings

How to use CLI Tool - refer to CLI Tool Overview

Attention!!: most of the corresponding configuration functionality is also available within Versadial VSLogger Monitor graphical interface.  Select setup View  Setup View and the corresponding section (General, Storage, Channels, etc..).

Configure SMTP (sending email) parameters to enable following features:

• to send user selected recordings via email
• to send email alerts
• to allow user password resets via email 

Prior configuration, you will need the to gather following information:

server [host] - smtp server, e.g. mail.example.com
port [0-65535] - smtp port
sender [email] - send from email address
auth [none|md5|sha1|login|plain] - authentication method
user [user] - smtp user
password [password] - smtp password
ssl [y|n] - enable/disable ssl. Is it SMTP connections secured by SSL, known as SMTPS

Sample configuration for a Gmail account:

Permission changes were made to corresponding Gmail account to allow SMTP relay feature.
Please note: Versadial Help desk does not provide configuration services for your mail provider account.  

Open CLI Tool, select menu, File and Connect. Click ‘OK’ in Connect dialog.

NOTE: Please be aware, this will be the address used when ‘Reply’ created by the recipient. Some users, might attempt to "Reply" to recorder emails and recorder Administrator may want to consider access to the account and account usage.
