About File Converter

Part of VSLogger CLI Tool, accessible form Tools menu > File Converter. This tool is provided for migration of the recordings made by older versions of VSLogger to the latest version of VSLogger.

VSLogger file versions, which can be converted by this tool: from 4.0.X.X to  4. 5.X.X 

Migrate recordings from the older version of VSLogger

Prior to migration

• Copy old data to separate drive which will serve as a source for migration
• Make sure that destination drive on recorder has enough space to hold migrated data

To rebuild whole or part of the database:

1. Select Src (Source) drive where original recordings stored
2. Select Dst (Destination) drive converted recording to be stored 
3. Select Date range of interest (From and To Dates)
4. Select target storage Database(MAIN or NET) where entries should be inserted or overwritten
5. Change Application Data Folder, if different from the default (C:\ProgramData)
6. Press Start

Results of the operation

• Old recordings from the source drive converted to the new format and stored on destination drive in the new file structure
• Corresponding metadata created
• Selected storage Database populated with data corresponding to converted recordings
